Green light for Bocina Group’s first land lease community on Gold Coast

The Weekly Source reports that Solara Estate, Bocina Group’s over-50s land lease community in Gatton, received unanimous council approval at the January 2026 ordinary meeting.

The approval covers 267 homes across 14 stages on 16.7 hectares off Golf Links Drive. It comes with shared amenities including a pool, gym, cinema, library, pickleball courts and a bowling green.

Councillor David Neuendorf is Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s planning and development spokesman. He said the project would free up housing across the Lockyer Valley by giving retirees new living options.
