The Weekly Source reports that Bocina Group has lodged plans for its first land lease community. It is Solara Estate: 267 homes on a 16.7-hectare site in Gatton, subject to Lockyer Valley Regional Council approval. The article covers the single-level 2-bedroom and 2-bedroom-plus-study homes designed by BDA Architecture. It also covers the planned Solara Club and recreation facilities, and 39 RV storage spaces behind gated access. Managing Director Elijah Turkovic says the region faces a shortage of more than 600 suitable homes for over-50s. And he says that no new retirement or land lease housing has been delivered there in 2 decades.
